Atlas Trek Adventure

DAY 1 : TOUR FROM TANGIER TO FES VIA CHEFCHAOUEN

Leaving Tangier, we will make our way to Chechouen through the fascinating landscapes and views of the Rif Mountains. In Chechouen, you will have the opportunity to visit the medina of this blue city. It has a Spanish style square encircled by stores of crafts, funky arts, roof-top restaurants and cafes. In Chechouen, you will have dinner and spend the overnight at a local Riad.

DAY 2 : CHEFCHAOUEN TO FES

After having breakfast at your accommodation, the journey of the second day starts to reach Fez. On the way, you will cross Rif illages such as Wazan before you visit Volubilis. It is a Roman Empire ruins in Morocco. Leaving the promininent Roman ruins in Morocco, we will continue the journey to Meknes. In this city, we will have lunch. There are many historical sites to visit in Meknes such as Bab El Mansour, Medina, the Shrine of Moulay Ismail. After we finish visiting the interesting Meknes, we will drive to our destination. In Fez, you will stay in the overnight at a local Riad where you will have dinner.

DAY 3 : FES GUIDED TOUR AND FREE PROGRAM

Today is devoted to explore Fez’s sites and monumenst. You will enjoy a guided tour to visit the medina and its narrow alleys, the Jewish Quarter (Mellah), the Royale Palace (a great example of the modern restoration and the largest in Morocco), the Quarouine Mosque (the first established university in the worls), and the well-known tennaries. The journey continues after having lunch. Before you go back to your accommodation, you will experience the wonderful view of the entire city of Fez.

DAY 4 : FES TO MERZOUGA DESERT

On the 4th-day of the tour, our destination will be Merzouga Desert. We will travel through Cedar Forest, the largest wood-land in the country, Ifrane (Switzerland of Morocco), and Berber small town of Azrou. On the way, we will take a break to have lunch in Midelt (the capital of apples). In the afternoon, we proceed with the journey to the destinationthrough Erfoud. The camel excursion to camp in the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi starts from Merzouga. After riding camels and enjoying the beautiful views during the way, you will reach the camping place. You will have dinner and spend the overnight in a nomad tent under the endless stars.

DAY 5 : MERZOUGA DESERT TOUR

Today is devoted to explore the surrounding areas of Merzouga by 4×4. Our journey includes visiting the village of Khamlia (Gnawa village). In this small and authentic Saharan village, you will have the chance to liten to music and observe people’s lifestyle. We will share having lunch with friendly nomad people who live in the desert. After that, Rissani and its large souks (traditional markets) may be visited. After that, we ride camels camels guided by an experienced man. On the way, you will enjoy the charming views of the high sand dunes. We will camp in a nomad tent, where dinner is served, for the overnight under the breathtaking stars.

DAY 6 : FROM MERZOUGA DESERT TO DADES GORGES

After we wake up and enjoy witnessing the stunning sunrise, we will make our way back to the village of Merzouga where you will have breakfast at the hotel. The journey continues with driving to Rissani and Erfoud (known for the fossils’ work-shops). The 6th day of the tour proceeds with traveling through Ziz valley’s palm trees and Tinghir before we visit Todgha Gorges. Here, there is the highest and narrowest gorges in Morocco. One of the top choice of ock climbers. Leaving the amazing Todgha Gorges, we will continue the journey to Boulmane Dades. In Dades, you will have dinner and spend the overnight at a hotel.

DAY 7 : DADES GORGES  TO  MARRAKECH

Driving through the Valley of Dades, we will drive to visit Ouarzazate. During our journey, we will have a break to enjoy visiting Kalaat Mgouna (the valley of roses) before we continue to the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. It is 35km kilometrs away from Ouarzazate (the Hollywood of Africa). After that, the destination is Maarrakech traveling through the famous Atlas Mountains and the amazing pass of Tizi N’Tichka. It is 2260 meters high over the Grand Atlas Mountains.

DAY 8 : MARRAKECH GUIDED TOUR

Today is devoted to visit some interesting sites and historical monuments of Marrakech after having breakfast. The guided tour includes visiting Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, the Saadian Tombs, Bhia Palace. You will stroll through the authentic souks and see the numerous handicrafts after having lunch at one of the local restaurants.
