Atlas Trek Adventure

DAY 1 : FES – MIDELT – ERFOUD – MERZOUGA DESERT

Our journey begins when we pick you up at 8 am. The destination will be Merzouga. During our day, we will travel through Ifrane (Switzerland of Morocco). We will visit Cedar Forest near to the small town of Azrou. Cedar Forest is the largest wood-land in Morocco. Monkeys live in this beautiful area. We proceed  with our journey until we stop for having lunch in Midelt (the capital of apples). On your way, you will enjoy the breathtaking landscapes of the Atla Mountains and Ziz Valley. Late in the afternoon, we will reach Merzouga. From this mall village your camel excursion starts. You will ride camels guided by an experieced camelman to camp in the middle of the desert. On your way, you will admire the lovely sunset over the sand dunes. In a nomad tent, you will spend the overnight and have a delicious berber dinner. You will also have the chance to listen to Berber drums being played around the campfire under the lovely and endless stars.

DAY 2 : MERZOUGA – RISSANI – TODGHA GORGE – DADES VALLEY

In the morning, you will be up to witness the amazing sunrise over the golden dunes and the landscapes of the Sahara Desert.  Having breakfast is followed by driving to visit Rissani where the largest Souks (traditional markets) in Morocco. The Souks are held on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Leaving Rissani, we will visit the town of Erfoud. It is famous for the work-shops of marble fossils. The next place we will visit is Todgha Gorges where the highest and narrowest gorges in Morocco. After having lunch and enjoying the astonishing lanscapes, we will head to Dades Valley. In Boulmane Dades, you will spend the overnight.

DAY 3 : DADES VALLEY- ROSES VALLEY – OUARZAZATE- AIT BENHADDOU – MARRAKECH

On the last day of the tour, we will enjoy the wonderful and panoramic views of Dades Valley after having breakfast at your accommodation. The tour continues with traveling through Kalaat M’Gouna (the Valley of Roses) and the Road of Thousand Kasbahs where you will have the chance to see the still-standing 17th-century Kasbahs. After reaching Merzouga, which is nicknamed Hollywood of Africa, we will visit the Cinema Studios and the Cinema Museum. After having lunch, we will head to visit Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a place where many Hollywood movies have been shot such as Gladiator and The Mumy. Marrakech is our destination after that.

We will drive you to your accommodation after we wrrive at Marrakech.
