3 Day Atlas Valley Trek : Ouirgane National Park

3 day treks are easy to medium and interesting. They usually include visiting Berber villages the wonderful valleys of Imlil and Azzadan, and meet the Berber community. They are appropriate for young people families, and elderly people. The way is prosperous for riding mule and walking. During the trek, you will enjoy the landscapes, scenic views of the mount pass, villages, and authentic valleys.

For those who love adventures, there are more surrounding areas and peaks to hike. The days are flexible to be extended to explore more.

Itinerary :

Day 1: Marrakesh – Imi Oughlad – Tinzert :

Up towards Imlil at Imi Oughlad (1,450m) where you will meet your Berber muleteer and guide, you will leave the vehicle. The trek will be easy on the first day to the Ouirgane National Park. Here, the coppern green oil and juniper trees make the area gentler. In Gite in Tinzert, you will spend the overnight. Aprox. 4 hrs walking time.

Day 2: Tinzert – Azzaden Valley (Ait Aissa):

You will have breakfast before you start the day 2 of the trek. Today, the journey begins with going over the wonderful Azzaden Valley. With an open up stunning views, you will see the stream of the mountain surrounded by lush walnut groves leading up to Toubkal and other peaks at the Valley’s head. In a village Gite in Ait Aissa, you will spend the overnight.  Aprox. 5-6 hours walking.

Day 3: Ait Aissa – Tizi n Mzik – Imlil:

Today’s plan includes climbing out of Azzadane Valley. You will climb up the valley heading to Tizi Oussem. From here, you will make your way to the pass at Tizi in Mzik. It is 2489 at elevation. The way continues descending down to Imlil. Lunch will be served in the village of Imlil. After that, we will drive back to Marrakech where we will have the chance to to explore the city more in the evening. Aprox. 4-5 hours walking.
